Welcome to the Second Grand National Assembly Building of Turkey, located in the Ulus district of Ankara. This historic building, which began operating in 1924, is one of the most important venues witnessing the political and social transformation of the young Republic of Turkey.
The Grand National Assembly of Turkey conducted its work in this building between 1924 and 1960; many important laws, reforms, and decisions of the early years of the Republic were discussed here. During these years, when a significant portion of Atatürk's principles and reforms were implemented, the building became one of the centers where modern Türkiye took shape.
Today, the building serves as the Republic Museum, where you can see documents, photographs, personal belongings, and the historic assembly hall from that period. While touring here, you can experience the political atmosphere of the founding years of the Republic firsthand and witness important developments that left their mark on Türkiye's recent history.
