Historic Çorum Municipality Building

The Historic Çorum Municipality Building is an important landmark in the city center dating from the early years of the Turkish Republic. Construction began in 1923 for use as a National Library, and the building officially opened on August 3, 1925. Designed as a two-story rectangular structure, its exterior features yellow cut sandstone and rubble stone, giving the building a distinctive historic character.

Over the years, the building served as a National Library, a People's House and later the municipal headquarters for several decades. Following restoration, its ground floor was reopened as the Millet Library in 2024. Located near the Clock Tower and the historic city square, the building is an important stop for visitors exploring Çorum’s urban and cultural heritage.
