Tiralizade Hasan Bey Mansion

I would now like to introduce you to the Tiralizade Hasan Bey Mansion, which reflects the historical character of Piraziz. Built between 1906 and 1908 during the final years of the Ottoman Empire, this mansion is considered one of the oldest examples of civil architecture in Piraziz.

Constructed from cut stone and rising two stories above a basement level, the mansion stands out for its Baroque and Rococo-style ornamentation, impressive entrance, fine stonework, and balcony. It also holds significant cultural value thanks to its spacious courtyard, interiors that reflect the lifestyle of the era, family belongings, and a private library.

Registered and placed under protection in 1990, the Tiralizade Hasan Bey Mansion is today one of Piraziz’s important heritage sites that has survived to the present day. A visit here offers the opportunity to discover not only a historic structure but also the lifestyle of the late Ottoman period and the distinctive mansion architecture of the Black Sea region.
