Hanife Hatun Mosque

Located in the Pazarkapı area of ​​Trabzon's Ortahisar district, the Hanife Hatun Mosque is one of the city's most significant landmarks in recent years. Construction of the mosque and its complex began in 2019 and it was opened for worship on July 11, 2025. Distinguished by its commanding sea view, the structure, with its magnificent design inspired by Ottoman and Seljuk architecture, strongly contributes to Trabzon's skyline.

Upon arrival, the main dome, particularly its 42-meter height, and the four minarets reaching 78 meters, immediately catch the eye. In addition to its spacious prayer areas, the complex also includes classrooms, workshops, a conference hall, a soup kitchen, and various social spaces. In this respect, the Hanife Hatun Mosque is not merely a place of worship; it is designed as a multifaceted center where education, culture, solidarity, and social life converge.
